1. Freightek supports a role-based access control (RBAC) system to define what each user can see and do. Common roles include:

RoleAccess Level Description
AdminFull access to all modules and settings.
SalesAccess to Clients, Quotes, and CRM data.
PricingAccess to Rates & Quotations only.
DocumentationAccess to Shipments and Document Management.
AccountingAccess to Debit Notes, Credit Notes, and Reports.
Viewer/Read-onlyCan view data but cannot create or edit.


 How to Set Roles?

  • Go to Automation SettingsUser & Permissions

  • Click Add User.

  • Enter email, full name, and select a predefined role.

  • Optionally, configure custom role permissions (field-level or module-level).


✅  2. Adding & Removing Users

To add a user:

  • Navigate to Automation  Settings > User & Permissions > Users.

  • Click Add New.

  • Fill in: Name, Email, Department, Role.

  • User will receive an invitation via email.

To remove a user:

  • Go to the user list.

  • Click the three-dot menu next to the user.

  • Select Deactivate or Remove.


3. Workspace Configuration

Workspace settings help define company-specific operational behavior.

Includes:

  • Logo upload: go to Company Profile -> Company Branch

  • Default currency & tax settings: go to Automation Setting -> Accounting

  • Shipment ID and document prefix customization: go to Automation Setting -> Operation

  • Time zone, country settings: Automation Setting -> Operation


 4. Department-Based Access

You can assign users to one or multiple departments:

  • Pricing

  • Sales

  • Documentation

  • Accounting

  • Management

  • Admin

Each department's access can be limited to certain modules or filtered views (e.g., only view shipments created by their team).


 5. Activity Logs

Freightek automatically logs all actions made by users:

  • Quotes created or edited

  • Rates added

  • Shipments updated

  • Invoices issued

Activity logs can be filtered by user, date, and action type — helpful for tracking performance or correcting errors.
