1. Creating a New Quote

.Select the shipment type:
Sea FCL / LCL
Air

Rail
Fill in shipment details:
Origin & Destination

Cargo specs (CBM, weight, container type)
Select rate source:
System Rates (linked from Rate module)
Manual Input (custom quote)
Add charges (Freight, Local, Surcharges).

2. Charge Management
Freightek allows detailed control of quote charges:
Freight Charges (e.g., Ocean freight, Air freight)
Local Charges (e.g., THC, B/L fee, Seal, Handling)
Optional Charges (e.g., Insurance, Pickup)
Markup: per item or overall
You can define each charge by:
Unit type (Per CBM, KG, Container, Shipment)
Currency (USD, EUR, etc.)
Client visibility (e.g., show/hide internal costs)
3. Quote Templates & Reuse
To save time:
Use saved quote templates for frequent routes
Duplicate existing quotes for new clients
Set “default markup rules” per department or customer
✅ Example: For repeated Vietnam–LA FCL quotes, reuse with updated validity.
4. Quotation Output Options
Once the quote is built, export or send directly:
PDF Export: Branded with your logo, color scheme, and contact info
Email to Client: Sent directly via Freightek with history tracking
Client Portal View: Clients can view and accept via their login
The system logs quote status: Sent, Viewed, Replied, Accepted.
5. Version History & Audit Trail
Every quote version is saved:
Track quote iterations
Maintain a revision trail (Date, Editor, Change Notes)
View history to support client negotiations
✅ Ideal for sales performance review and dispute resolution.
6. Approval Workflow (Optional)
For teams using manager oversight:
Submit quote for approval before sending to client
Managers review cost structure and profit margin
Approve or request revision
✅ Ensures quotes meet pricing policies before release.
